Welcome to the CCHF Research Platform

What it’s all about and what researchers can do with a Polaris platform

Hello, and welcome to the platform of the Center for Selective C-H Functionalization! The objective of this project is to assist the interdisciplinary team of experts in chemical synthesis with their work to fundamentally change the way we make molecules; with their individual career and, more broadly, their contribution to science. People working in different research environments face the same challenges in three main realms and this platform includes new digital tools to assist with those specific needs. Read on to learn more and to connect with their researchers doing great, innovative work!

The objective of this project from the NSF Center for Selective C-H Functionalization, in collaboration with MyScienceWork, is to assist the interdisciplinary team of experts in chemical synthesis with their work to revolutionize the way people make molecules, with their individual careers and, more broadly, their contribution to science.

How? Basically, people working in different research environments face the same challenges in three main realms. This platform includes new digital tools to assist with those specific needs, like:

  • *Making research work stand out, in a sea of other results (To be cited, you must be seen.)
  • *Knowing who’s interested in your research and what they’re doing (Think collaboration!)
  • *Communicating research results, both within the scientific world and beyond.

The CCHF Profiles

Here, you’ll find a profile for each member of the CCHF, showing their areas of expertise and their publications and other work: scientific articles and pre-prints, but also presentations, lecture notes, patents, and more.

Members can upload documents to the platform, allowing the larger community to see them and contact the authors with questions, suggestions or new ideas.

Dashboards and Metrics

Each member has their own dashboard with metrics about the visibility and impact of all their publications. The individual stats let researchers see who has visited their profile, downloaded their publications, and what those scientists are working on. Clearly, these are people worth talking to!

The Center for Selective C-H Functionalization itself can get a clearer overview of all its scientific production, where it’s coming from and the impact it’s having beyond the walls of its member institutions.

Science News

Connect with members of the CCHF to stay in touch with this community of scientists collaborating to develop greener, more effective chemical processes that could provide us with molecules never available before. Follow the platform to receive updates when news or popular science stories are published about their work.

Some scientists enjoy popularizing their own research; others turn to MyScienceWork’s journalists. Either way, it is shared with an extensive international community of researchers and science fans via MyScienceWork.com and other social media.
